2009 as Calvin Jubilee

Jean Cauvin was born on 10 July 1509 in the little town of Noyon in the North of France. Because of this much attention had been paid to Calvin in 2009. See for example the next websites:

Conferences and Congresses

  • The International Congress on Calvin Research organizes every four years a congress. The last congress had been held in 2023 at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids (Michigan), from Tuesday, July 25 through Friday, July 28, 2023.   • Calvin Studies Society organizes a Calvin colloquium every two years.  The last colloquium was held at Wheaton College in Wheaton (Illinois) on 31 March – 2 April 2022. The theme was: ‘Calvin, Women, and the family’. The next collloquium is planned for Grand Rapids (Michigan) at Calvin Theological Seminary, from 4 April – 6 April, 2024.   • Sixteenth Century Society and Conference organizes a conference every year which may be of interest to those engaged in the study of Calvin. In 2024 the annual meeting will be held in Toronto, from 31 October – 2 November.  See http://sixteenthcentury.org
