Jean Cauvin was born on 10 July 1509 in the little town of Noyon in the North of France. Because of this much attention will be payed to Calvin in 2009. See for example the next websites:

Conferences and Congresses

The International Calvin Congress takes place every four years. The last one was held this year (2006) from August 22 to 26 in Emden. The next one will be held in 2010 in Bloemfontein (South Africa) from 22 to 27 August.

The Calvin Studies Society organizes a Calvin colloquium every two years. The 2009 Colloquium was held from April 17 to 19 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The theme was John Calvin: Myth and Reality.

The Sixteenth Century Society and Conference organizes a conference every year which may be of interest to those engaged in the study of Calvin. The next annual meeting will take place from October 14-17, 2010 in Montréal.
